UNIT OF MEASURE AND UPDATE (UMA) FOR 2021

On January 8, 2021, INEGI published in the Official Gazette of the Federation the value in national currency of the UMA with an increase of 3.150% in the daily value, to be as follows:

• Daily Value $ 89.62
• Monthly value $ 2,724.45
• Annual value $ 32,693.40

These values ​​will come into force as of February 1, 2021.

In accordance with the provisions of article 4 of the Law to determine the value of the Unit of Measurement and Update, the method to determine the updated value of the UMA is according to the following:

I. The daily value will be determined by multiplying the daily value of the UMA of the immediately preceding year by the result of the sum of one plus the interannual variation of the National Consumer Price Index for the month of December of the immediately preceding year (this is $ 86.88 x 1.0315)

II. The monthly value will be the product of multiplying the daily value of the UMA by 30.4.        

III. The annual value will be the product of multiplying the monthly value of the UMA by 12.
